Corona Arch Trailhead, Moab, Utah, USA
Moab’s incredible landscape took millions of years to become what it is today and needs to be preserved as we experience it. The Corona Arch Trailhead is located about a 20-minute drive outside of Moab, Utah, USA. This natural sandstone arch is 140 feet wide and 105 feet tall. The Corona Arch Trail was designated the National Recreation Trail on May 30, 2018.
The Corona Arch hike is a canyon trail that takes you to two lovely arches (Corona and Bowtie) and a third optional arch (Pinto) if you have time. It’s all a pretty easy hike for the most part, and the only thing that might make it moderate is the mid-day heat and a short section where you have to climb a small ladder and stairway (but it isn’t dangerous). Since the arch is located outside Arches National Park, it hasn’t received the same protections as its federally sheltered neighbors.
